While I was in Vegas last week I came across these Christopher Guy chairs in Tao Las Vegas! They are just as amazing in person. =)

Ok so I'm probably the last twenty-something on the planet to visit Las Vegas, but I finally made it! Aside from the fact that I was jet lag the whole five days I was there, experiencing Vegas was beyond my imagination. Glitzy and glamorous would be a total understatement. Vegas has some of the most amazing structures, architecture and fabulously designed hotels. The mix of modern and luxe left my mouth watering. And with the help of a friend who frequents Vegas regularly throughout the year, I was able to experience Vegas at it's finest. I have never seen so many Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Dior retail stores within a 5 mile radius. But while they where in abundance, each store was a cornucopia of divine design and creativity.

Hopefully my travels in the near future will take me to other countries... And then we can drool world wide.

We here at Eclectic Energy are romantically and divinely committed to the beautiful world of color and shape. It should come as no surprise that we would fall head over heals in-love with Christopher Guy! He creates some of the most inspiring, amazingly well designed pieces we have seen thus far. Each piece a perfect proportion of asymmetry. The pieces alone are visually pleasing, but for the few of us who have the ability to visualize beyond the base... SEDUCTIVELY DEVINE are the only words that come to mind.

If this is not inspiration, then we don't know what is.

AVA DESIGN IS...

A huge "made in America" movement... Well crafted furniture... Dedicated to the revitalization of American craftsmanship... Here to bring the focus back to the Designer, Architects, and Artisans... Looking for Designers who are creative enough to branch out and see, not just one, but a million different possibilities... A company that stands on the belief that "if you can imagine it, we can build it"...

Ava Design is new to the Atlanta Metro area. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the Showroom Manager, Belinda Waters. Check out my brief overview of the interview below!

EE: How did Ava Design come to be?

BW: The owner, Matt Carfaro, has owned and ran a furniture store for many years in Soho, NYC. Ava, which is named after his oldest daughter, is a product of his [love and passion] for well made custom furnishings.

EE: What style furnishings and drapery hardware does Ava manufacture?

BW: [We focus mainly on] modern and transitional. You can also customize your metal and wood hardware with different finishes and ring sizes.

EE: Are Ava furnishings and hardware available to the public? Or are the to the trade only?

BW: Ava is open to the trade and public.

EE: What is the average turn around for a custom piece?

BW: For drapery hardware, the turn around time is 2-3 weeks, furniture is about 8-10 (sometimes 4 weeks, but additional charges will apply for rushed delivery).

EE: What fabrics are available to the Designers and consumers?

BW: Right now we have a variety of linens, gourmet leathers, noltex styles, and ultra suede.

EE: What is Ava Design's design philosophy?

BW: Ava Design believes in custom American furnishings and the revitalization of American artistry.

EE: What new things can we expect from Ava in the future?

BW: [We will host] a variety of art events and workshop series in the near future.
